Free choice sessions, Workshops and Demonstrations
Tuesday free-choice sessions are from 1:30 – 4:30pm. Members paint or draw subjects of their own choice in whatever medium they like. Typically using watercolour, acrylic, pastels, ink or pencil, a huge variety of work is produced some of which will be displayed in the next BAG exhibition.
In-house workshops and demonstrations are from 1:30 – 4:00 pm. In-house workshops are usually led by group members; demonstrations are usually led by professional artists, there may be a small charge for these sessions.
Saturday workshops are from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. These sessions are led by professional artists and cost from £25. Participants are requested to sign up in advance; a list of materials required for the workshop will be provided. Until further notice the number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 14. Please bring a drink and a packed lunch.
Spring Term 2023
The Spring term starts on Tuesday 10th January and finishes on Tuesday 30th May.
All Tuesday sessions will be free-choice except for:

31st January: Rob Garratt's picture framing demonstration
7th February: In-House workshop led by Linda Randall:
Draw a bird in Polychromos (oil based) pencils
Postponed until the Autumn term In-House workshop led by Linda Randall: Holly leaves and berries in Polychromos pencils with a focus on blending and burnishing colours

Workshops can help to enhance your techniques and learning using a variety of mediums taught by professional artists.
